What we collect when you book

Your name, phone number and email address, the service you chose, and any note you add for the barber. We keep a history of your past appointments, what they cost, and whether you cancelled or did not arrive.

The barber can also write private notes about your cut, for example the guard number he used. Those notes are for the shop only and are never shown to you or to anyone else.

Your card

We never see or store your card number. When you book, Stripe saves your card and gives us a reference to it, so the only thing on our side is that reference and Stripe's customer id. Booking does not charge you: you pay in the shop, after the service.

The card is held for one reason, the no-show fee described in our terms. It is charged only if you do not arrive and do not call.

Photographs in Try a haircut

The three photographs you take for Try a haircut are sent to our server, analysed, used to generate your previews, and then discarded. They are not written to a database and they are not used to train anything.

There is one exception, and it is opt-in: a checkbox on the photo step that asks whether we may keep that session to improve the tool. It is unticked by default. If you leave it unticked, nothing is kept. If you tick it, the photographs and previews from that session are stored privately and reviewed by hand.

You can ask us to delete a stored session at any time, and we will.

Accounts

Try a haircut asks you to sign in, which is handled by Clerk. That gives us your email address and an account id. Booking a haircut does not need an account at all.

Counting visits

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually use, so the site can be made better. It records the pages viewed, roughly which part of the world the visit came from, and the kind of device. It never receives your name, your phone number or your email, and it is never joined up with your booking.

It sets cookies in your browser so a returning visit is recognised as the same one. If you would rather not be counted, your browser's tracking protection or Google's own opt-out add-on will stop it, and the site works exactly the same either way.

Who else sees it

Stripe processes payments. Clerk handles accounts for Try a haircut. Google Analytics counts visits. Our hosting and database providers store the booking records. The AI providers that generate your previews receive the photographs for the length of that request. Nobody buys this data, and we do not sell or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Appointment records and the client history are kept while you remain a customer of the shop, because that history is what lets the barber remember your cut. A pass for Try a haircut expires thirty days after it is bought.

Asking for your data, or its removal

Email corneliogroup@gmail.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold about you, or delete it, whichever you want. There is no form and no fee.

Children

Kids haircuts are one of our services and children are very welcome in the chair. Try a haircut, however, is for adults: please do not upload photographs of a child to it.
